SUMMARY:Genova fucina dell'arte.

SUMMARY:Solo exhibition by Gianluca Patti
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe exhibition season at Galleria Studio Rossetti continues with a solo exhibition dedicated to artist Gianluca Patti.\n\nAn eclectic and sensitive artist\, he is characterized by his bold use of color\, expressed through studied and delicate brushstrokes\, overlapping and layered. The artist manages to blend and create a dialogue between color and materials to which he feels a strong affinity\, which have marked his formative path. Through layering\, he recounts time and the unwritten stories that accompany it.\n\nDrawing on his familiarity with construction elements such as resins\, stucco\, pigments\, and gauze\, and his skill in handling colors\, he manages to create artistic compositions of pure abstraction\, balanced but endowed with marked originality and great visual and material impact.\n\nThanks to his use of color\, Patti has developed his own personal style in which color and material coexist\, complement each other\, come to life together\, and enhance each other.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nGianluca Patti’s works are a kaleidoscope of emotional and visual stimuli.\nThe artist depicts the metamorphosis\, evolution\, and relentless flow of our thoughts over time. These changes give rise to new insights\, inspirations\, and ideas in a constant stream. \nThe title of the exhibition was inspired by listening to the song ‘Go Ahead’ by Miles Davis\, the great trumpeter and jazz composer considered one of the most influential and innovative musicians of the 20th century. In the 1980s\, he embodied the concept that change must be a constant component in art: ‘If you want to keep creating\, you have to be about change’. Jazz is free music\, constantly changing: in the same way\, Gianluca Patti’s work moves sinuously between structure and improvisation\, control and abandonment. On the table\, rules serve only as a springboard for creative leaps\, transforming into a continuous exercise in self-determination\, poised between free choice and the ripples of shared language.\n\n\nGo Ahead tells of determination and of not stopping\, of accepting change as an integral part of the creative and human journey. It is an invitation to never stop creating\, to believe in movement\, in research\, in the possibility of reinventing oneself. In an age that demands speed and certainty\, this exhibition asserts the value of process\, evolution and listening. As in the music of Miles Davis\, here too the meaning lies not in perfection\, but in the tension towards something that is still happening.\n\n\nGianluca Patti\nBorn in Monza (MB) in 1977. Lives and works in Monza. \nGianluca Patti was born in Monza on August 28\, 1977. After obtaining his diploma in surveying\, he worked for about 20 years in the communications and publishing sector. During these years\, he had the opportunity to deepen his passion for art\, immediately trying his hand at painting and studying contemporary art.\n\nThe artist’s cross-disciplinary approach also led him to collaborate on set design in the advertising and interior design sectors and to be selected for art and business projects.\n\nToday\, he exhibits in important galleries nationally and internationally. His latest project is the mural “Respiro” (Breath)\, an artistic intervention created with a special eco-sustainable paint capable of reducing air pollution.

SUMMARY:Performance live: Elias Naman
DESCRIPTION:LIVE SCULPTING by Elias Naman\nThe artist Elias Naman will be in residence at the gallery to create his three-dimensional sculptures in Carrara marble live. A sculptor of Syrian origin\, he works—as was customary in the past—using only a chisel to shape blocks of Carrara marble\, the finest stone whose history echoes through the centuries. Naman does not produce any drawings or models\, but surrenders to his unusual affinity with the cold material to reveal what it conceals.\n\nA unique opportunity to experience hand-crafted sculpture\, transforming raw material into a figure.\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n  \nTHE ARTIST\n\n\n\n\nElias Naman was born in Yabroud (Syria) in 1980. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus\, he arrived in Italy in 2003 and enrolled at the Accademia di Carrara\, where he obtained his four-year degree in 2009 and\, in 2011\, specialised in sculpture with top marks.\nHe has always favoured the figurative style and works marble exclusively by hand\, without the aid of machinery\, just as Michelangelo did over five hundred years ago.\nHis working method draws on tradition and classical principles: he works directly from the block of marble without the use of a model or drawings.\n\n“For Elias Naman\, marble is a living\, sensitive substance. A voice to be listened to and transferred into the soul\, to combine the spirit of classicism with the deepest emotional impulses.\nIndeed\, whether he carves and shapes the white Carrara marble or the grey Bardiglio\, symphonic voluptuousness emerges from his hands\, combining the spirit of classicism with the emotional impulses aroused by the state of grace of every age.\n\nHis is truly a ‘heroic endeavour’\, for even today he does not shy away from evoking\, through his artistry\, time-honoured memories of ancient drapery\, only to direct the remainder of the narrative not towards the concreteness of a figure to be represented\, but towards the nostalgic flight of a dream to be pursued in the course of an ethereal evolution that ideally extends beyond the work itself.”\n\n(Elisabetta Buttiglione)

SUMMARY:Genova Design Week 2026
DESCRIPTION:7°A GENOVA DESIGN WEEK\nThe splendour of Genoa Design Week returns to the streets of the city centre from 3 to 7 June 2026 with a new theme – balance – featuring exhibitions in the entrance halls and grand floors of historic buildings and in the squares of the Design District\, alongside events taking place in spaces open to the public.\n\nAn opportunity for visibility and professional development to highlight the immense potential for designers\, both in terms of quality and design.\nTHEME 2026: BALANCE\n\nThe design is based on the theme of balance: balance as the ability to harmonise different\, often opposing elements. Balance between form and function\, between tradition and innovation; balance between people\, the environment and technology; visual and perceptual balance\, as well as social and cultural balance.\nBalance as a conscious design practice\, constantly seeking harmony between complexity\, ethics and aesthetics.\n\n\n  \n \n  \nOrganised by Dide (the Genoa Design District)\, the event is now announcing its seventh edition\, featuring some of the highlights that have made it famous over the years\, such as Designer Under 35; Container 03; Design Talk Festival\, and new additions such as F/A FakeAutentic\, making its debut in Genoa with the first edition of the exhibition at Santa Maria di Castello dedicated to research themes and creative artefacts\, and Interior Architecture in Liguria\, an exhibition scheduled at Galleria Mazzini involving 60 architectural practices.\n  \nEXHIBITING INSIDE PALACES\nThe exhibition venues are not just any old spaces\, but gateways to places steeped in history and beauty\, which are specially opened up to make them accessible to the general public. A blend of history and design in the heart of Genoa’s historic centre. \nCONFIRMATIONS\nFollowing the success of the previous two editions\, Container 03 returns for the third consecutive year. This installation features ten distinct interior design scenarios\, each set within a shipping container. The exhibition will be structured to reflect design’s ability to adapt to contemporary challenges and to embrace new technologies\, materials and creative processes. The exhibition\, curated by Simona Finessi\, will take place in the Porto Antico and Darsena areas. \nUNDER 35\nOnce again this year\, there is a focus on new talent with ‘Designer Under 35’\, an exploratory programme for emerging designers where the flow of ideas shapes the new cornerstones of the project\, giving voice to the vision of the future. Curated by Laura Palazzini\, the competition remains an opportunity for young creatives to showcase their work\, experimenting with new forms and ideas centred on simplicity\, functionality and sustainability. The programme also includes meetings and workshops with industry experts. \nFESTIVAL DESIGN TALK\nThe Design Talk Festival\, meanwhile\, will see the return of leading figures from the worlds of architecture and design to Genoa\, creating an event celebrating high-calibre design culture\, open to the public. The 2024 edition featured architects Michele De Lucchi\, Fabio Novembre and Clara Bona in conversation with Luca Molinari. The 2025 edition featured architects Mario Cucinella\, Luigi Priano (RPBW director) alongside Gabriel Fagundes and Raffaella Parodi\, and Massimo Adiansi of Architerror.

SUMMARY:Dialectics of Balance: group exhibition
DESCRIPTION:THE DIALECTIC OF BALANCE: BETWEEN DOMINATION AND LOSS OF CONTROL.\nTHE GROUP EXHIBITION DURING GENOA DESIGN WEEK\nA group exhibition conceived and organised around the concept of ‘Balance’\, the central theme of the Genova Design Week 2026. \nBalance as the ability to harmonise different\, often opposing elements. Balance between form and function\, between tradition and innovation; balance between people\, the environment and technology; visual and perceptual balance\, social and cultural balance.\nBalance as a conscious design practice\, constantly seeking harmony between complexity\, ethics and aesthetics. \nThe artists Gianni Lucchesi\, Paolo Ceribelli\, Gianluca Patti and Julian T. engage in a dialogue within the exhibition to explore the concept of balance\, not as static symmetry\, but as a dynamic tension between opposing forces: fullness and emptiness\, light and shadow\, chaos and order. Not a point of arrival\, nor a state of motionless stillness. In art\, balance is a dynamic process\, a constant dance between contrasting forces that strive not to succumb to one another.\n\nIs balance\, then\, the result of an ‘artifice’\, a human need to impose meaning on the becoming of things?\n\nThis exhibition has been conceived to explore that “fine line” upon which creativity and existence itself rest. Through the works on display\, the concept of balance reveals itself in its duality: on the one hand\, classical proportion\, which reassures the eye with its harmony; on the other\, the fragility of the precarious\, which leaves us breathless before sculptures that seem to defy gravity.\n\nIn a world dominated by disorder and speed\, art acts as an interpreter of our need to find a centre. The selected installations and paintings do not offer definitive answers\, but pose the fundamental question: how can we remain standing in a universe that is constantly changing?\n\n \n \n \n \n Gianluca Patti – \n \n \n \n \n \n Paolo Ceribelli – \n \n \n \n \n \n Juilian T.\n \n \n \n \n \n Gianni Lucchesi\n \n \n\nThe exhibition opens on Wednesday 3 June at 6.00 pm at the gallery premises at 33r Via Chiabrera. \n
