SUMMARY:“Houston\, che sfortuna” by Gianni Lucchesi
DESCRIPTION:Critical text by Alessandra Redaelli \n\n\n\nGianni Lucchesi’s investigation has always revolved around our feeling and our not (wanting) to feel\, looking in and out ourselves. Ever since he was moving in the realm of lyrical\, emotional abstract. Then something happens in the artist’s life. One of those terrible\, illuminating events that turns perspectives upside down. And suddenly his language becomes figurative.\nRelationships with others and the environment are the landscape on which his figures move\, small but defined in the detail of dress. And the dress is what one wears to go to a “serious” job\, perhaps behind a desk\, immersed inside a normality where adequacy touches the limits of alienation. Little characters who are man as it is humanity; who tell us about their own inner conflicts and the dismay of the outside. In this narrative of a humanity lost within itself\, too busy observing the world blindfolded to realize where its manner is taking it\, there is no judgment or moral lesson: rather a photograph of a distress\, always conducted with an eye to beauty\, within warm spaces\, on vivid surfaces cut by light.\nThe golfer\, alone\, bends over the ball in the center of a space annihilated\, destroyed\, unequivocally traversed by something inemendable\, pretending that there is a green meadow around him: a blindness that has the flavor of denial\, even more glaring when one looks at how the deer herd moves\, on the same burned surface. \nTrue to an economy of narrative that goes hand in hand with chromatic minimalism\, Lucchesi for long time has chosen a single animal\, the deer precisely\, to serve as a counterbalance to the human figure. Majestic\, elusive\, imbued with magical symbolism of rebirth\, it embodies pure instinct for the artist. While man is lost in his illusion\, the animal forms a pack around him and seeks a way of escape.\nThe hare in this new project comes to complete a very precise path: the unerring instinct is tinged with poetry and becomes creative imagination here. In a leap-just as happens in Lucio Corsi’s song\, a verse of which serves as the exhibition’s title-she has arrived on the moon.\nA revolutionary\, titanic gesture: the animal has realized that the planet is imploding and so it goes away\, elsewhere. It does not think about how to get there\, what it leaves behind\, how it will feed itself\, or even how it will breathe. Its instincts tell to go\, and it goes.\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n  \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:OPERAE by Gianni Lucchesi
DESCRIPTION:Rossetti Arte Contemporanea presents Operae by Gianni Lucchesi. \nThe installation is 13 meters tall and consists of 12 concrete cubes\, on top of which sits a life-sized sculpture of a seated man gazing towards the horizon. \nThe interpretation. Knowledge\, wisdom\, and construction draw strength from an interplay between past\, present\, and future. The man lives in the present\, open to receiving ail the stimuli offered by the surrounding environment in harmony with nature. He contemplates the future ahead\, supported by a column symbolizing the value and importance of one’s intellect in history\, seeking the laws that govern the harmony of the universe. \nThe Fibonacci sequence. Observing the sculpture from the apex\, that is\, from the block on which the man is seated\, the Fibonacci sequence marks the rotation of the cubes\, which\, stacked one on top of the other\, support the man in a contemplative posture. They undergo a slight twist\, a rotation of a few degrees\, precisely realizing the golden sequence 1\,1\,2\,3\,5. Metaphorically\, the construction is not anchored to the ground by gravity; on the contrary\, it is supported by the intellect of man. \nGiordano Bruno. Across the entire length of the column\, the hermetic seals of Giordano Bruno are impressed in gold\, with decreasing intensity from top to bottom.Through imaginative effort\, they express the forms of nature through intuition\, capable of uniting our true essence with the infinite universe. \nA school of great artists\, a team of great companies. \nThe sculpture “Operae“ by Gianni Lucchesi is a project developed in collaboration with Carlo Alberto Arzelà\, Julia Caracciolo\, Sandra Bozzarelli\, and the Hangar studio. \nThe artist worked with the company Giannoni & Santoni to develop both the structural solutions of the work and the aesthetic finishes of the surfaces of the concrete cubes\, thanks to the use of the company’s modern technologies combined with craftsmanship of high artistic value. The artist shaped and patinated the resin sculpture in collaboration with the company Poliart\, a leader in 3D moderation of expanded polystyrene. Filotto Srl designed and produced the internal and external lighting of the work. Lo Studio i Ingegneria e Dintorni in Pisa designed the statics of the work.\nVisualizza il video\n\n\n\n  \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:“ERASED” by Paolo Ceribelli
DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the exhibition “Erased\,” Paolo Ceribelli showcases the evolution of his personal investigation to which\, for years now\, he has dedicated himself with painstaking dedication. Since the very beginning of his artistic research\, Ceribelli’s expression was originally focused on the iconography-symbol of the Plastic Soldier (2006) and later on the Anti-Tank Barricade (2016)\, both universally recognizable figures that can be traced back to war imagery. \nIn the current cycle\, the artist proposes a key interpretation aimed at the distortion of the object itself: the goal is to overturn the observer’s perception to unhinge the conventional meaning attributed to a symbol\, in order to develop a personal analysis over the complexity of human nature. \nFor this purpose\, the icons of war are estranged and decontextualised. The use of colour changes the perception of the object itself and through the methodical and serial repetition of forms\, either obsessively ordered or deliberately disordered\, the customary idea that they represent is erased. \nWe are witnessing the birth of a holistic representation\, where notions of peace and war coexist in a complex totality far more significant than what the individual forms represents alone. \nThe Anti-Tank Barricade\, well known as “Cheval-de-Frise”\, is a pivotal symbol\, which has been reproduced over the years in different sizes\, colour and materials. A classic emblem of the limit beyond which we are able to push ourselves\, facing a considerable degree of difficulty. In Ceribelli’s work\, however\, the anti-tank barricades\, in the artwork “War and Peace Structure”\, are displayed in a collective tangle where they become a pile that seems to have been accumulated and abandoned. As inert\, once perceived in the complexity of their whole\, they lose their original function as limit and barrier. We no longer consider them as obstacles; on the contrary\, the artist creates a counterpoint to our sensibility and the barricades become a symbol of surrender and of peace. \nThe artist brings together a serial repetition with the symbolism of the circle figure\, also fundamental to his personal poetics. The circular figure is\, by custom\, the emblematic form of cyclical\, infinite and perfect time. But the mathematical constant that gives dimension to this shape is pi\, an irrational number with infinite decimal digits that never repeat themselves. A circle\, seemingly so perfect and unchanging\, is a great container that gathers infinite possibilities of development and interpretation\, without a beginning or an end.\nThe circle is a symbolic figure of a subjective feeling that can represent two opposing actions\, the centripetal and the centrifugal force\, which are correspondingly images of protection and estrangement. \nThe work “Untitled” also offers a deeply personal point of view to the viewers. The method chosen by the artist\, acrylic stamping on paper\, is a diptych whose parts are mirrored and contrasting. On the other hand\, the lightness of the paper must support the heavy references applied by the stamped subjects: the “Cheval-de-Frise”. This work refers to the principle of Chinese philosophy of Taoism\, which highlights the essentiality of balance between opposing and complementary forces. Like the forces of war and peace that live within us\, the artist invites us to embrace responsibility and consciousness. \nPaolo Ceribelli does not base his artistic research on a militaristic notion\, nor on his intent to impose an overarching position. The critical analysis of the self and one’s own inner wars is objective and constructive. In this exhibition\, the artist takes a further step in his research and self-analysis\, strips away his fears and he materialises his inner struggles. The need and desire to go beyond one’s limit is perceived in the stampings of the work “Cloud\,” in which Ceribelli enacts the liberating gesture that approaches disorder and abstraction. He is finally free to break the rigid mechanisms of stubborn perfection that have always been part of his poetics. \nThe inclination to war and the desire for peace are forces that coexist in human beings and they condition our interpretation of the surrounding reality. In the exhibition “Erased”\, we witness the erasure of customs to make room for our perceptions. This results in profound personal searches and in the awareness of our inner struggles\, which are the starting point for self-improvement. As a matter of fact\, it is the viewer who decides to consider what may seem like an unequivocal message as a declaration of war or peace.\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:“Materia Abscondit\, Mulier Revelat” – Gala Eluard Dali\, the muse of surrealism
DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the exhibition “Materia abscondit\,” a journey into the feminine revealed through the work of two interesting contemporary artists\, the cultural blog The Meltin Pop – in collaboration with the Studio Rossetti Art Gallery and L’Amico Ritrovato bookstore in Genoa – presents the event “MATERIA ABSCONDIT\, MULIER REVELAT” to celebrate the one who was the true muse of surrealism\, Gala Éluard Dali.\n\nHelena Devulina Diakonoff\, known as Gala Éluard Dali\, was a model\, artist\, art dealer\, wife of the poet Éluard\, lover of Max Ernst\, and later Dali’s wife and muse. Gala is the ‘female’ representation of the art world of the first half of the 20th century.  In her brilliance and ability to reveal the talents of the men to whom she dedicated herself\, Gala Éluard Dali was recounted by the pen of journalist and writer Anna Di Cagno\, who chronicled her life in the fictionalized biography “Gala Éluard Dali. Per interposti uomini” published by Morellini Editore.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn Thursday\, April 13\, 2023 at 6 p.m. Arianna Destito Maffeo and Antonella Grandicelli will meet Anna Di Cagno at the Studio Rossetti Art Gallery at 33r Via Chiabrera in Genoa.\n\nFree admission while places last (no reservations required).\n  \nApril 1975\, Pùbol\, Gerona. Gala Éluard Dali retires for a week in solitude to the castle her second husband\, Salvador Dali\, gave her. One night a girl knocks on her door. Thus opens a causal encounter that takes place inside what Dali considered his greatest masterpiece. In each room is a glimpse into the incredible and mythical life of Surrealism’s most celebrated Muse; a woman who marked an era\, and inspired inspired the cultural movement’s most famous poet and artist.\n\n\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:“Materia Abscondit” by Elias Naman and Michela Crisostomi
DESCRIPTION:Portions of bodies\, fragments of faces\, details of sinuous backs\, intertwined hands\, interrupted busts. These are the elements conceived by the artistic imagination of two distinct artists from different backgrounds in education\, origin\, research and artistic expression. A sculptor and a painter are merged in the exhibition “Materia Abscondit.” \nElias Naman\, a sculptor of Syrian origin who works only with his bare hands and a chisel\, transforming blocks of Carrara marble into the noblest stone whose history echoes through the centuries. Alternatively\, Michela Crisostomi is a skilled painter of Abruzzese origin\, who paints her canvases as if they were ancient walls\, covering them with thick layers of mortar\, a material that was used for the creation of frescoes\, and applying metal residues and inscriptions. \nThe primordial inspiration that unites these two artists is revealed in the constant dialogue between past and present\, in a relationship between tradition and modernity that leads the viewer to transcendent imagery. Both artists have assimilated the values of masters of the past and\, through the ideal of beauty inherited from classical antiquity\, create a dialogue with the contemporary world made of zooms and rapid framing. \nAlthough made with different methods\, the work of the two artists is intertwined and conditioned by the material they work with: marble blocks and mortar on canvas. These elements inspire the artists to continuously develop ideas that are only tangible with the execution of the work.\n Starting from a datum that is legible to everyone\, but which not everyone sees\, they lead us to a level beyond the ordinary. \nFaced with a “mute” matter\, their sensibility is able to lead them back to a memory or a feeling to which they give form in a bust\, a back\, a breast. \nNaman makes no drawing or model but indulges in his unusual affinity with the cold material to reveal what it conceals. Crisostomi acts on the canvases to transform them into walls from which trapped figures emerge.\nThe works are conceived as if they were found: “Materia Abscondit” is\, in fact\, the exhibition dedicated to rediscovery. \nFrom stone and mortar\, universal figures emerge; figures lightened by layers\, freed from the veil of illusions; figures that become emblems of introspection and self-awareness; figures once again able to see clearly their own only true essence. \nThe works on display speak to us of the need to tear away “the veil\,” to find oneself and reveal oneself.\n\n\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:Presentation of “The book” by Silvio Porzionato
DESCRIPTION:The first major\, unpublished and comprehensive publishing work dedicated to the artist Silvio Porzionato.\nA hardcover volume that is divided into 3 sections for no less than 264 full-color pages.\nStories\, reflections\, interviews and a catalog of works\, all in dual language\, Italian and English. “What a fantastic spectacle life is! What an intriguing web of stories and people. And what a precious privilege it would be to be able to relive it played out on the stage of a small theater\, or projected on the big screen. What a wonderful journey\, to be able to observe one’s existence from the outside\, review it and enjoy it as if it were a play of incredible realism.” This is how Silvio Porzionato begins his monographic catalog published by iemme edizioni (Naples\, 2022). An editorial project that Alberto Tondella\, the volume’s editor\, describes as follows: “If life is a journey\, this volume is a stage\, a stop to take two photos\, have a sip of water and look back to observe how far one has come. Silvio’s\, like so many artists’ lives\, is an existence lived in a rush\, with his foot pressed on the accelerator. It is frenzy\, it is the need to finish one work in order to start another\, it is wheezing about not having enough time to be able to accomplish all that the soul can imagine.\nthe book is characterized by three souls. The first is an account of Silvio’s artistic life\, presented through images that speak of anxieties\, joys\, and goals achieved and lost. The second part is a chat among friends over a glass of wine. The third is an important collection of Silvio’s most significant works.” \nThe book presentation will take place on Thursday\, Feb. 23\, at 6:30 p.m. in the presence of artist Silvio Porzionato and author Alberto Tondella. \n  \nVisualizza video \n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:“Melting Point” by Andrea Savazzi
DESCRIPTION:Ancient and modern\, decay and rebirth\, nature and urbanization\, movement and immutability.\nThese are the topics addressed in “MELTING POINT”\, an exhibition by Andrea Savazzi.\nThe vast environments represented by the artist are abandoned places in a surreal but apparent state of freezing.\nA vital glow erupts.\nThey are constructions in which matter\, now apparently worn and crumbled by the passing of time\, retains a strong energy. Where nature\, alive in silent movement\, prevails and regains its own spaces.\nPlaces of a past that want to be the protagonist of the present too\, undergoing the influences of contemporaneity.\nPlaces that belong to the industrial era and take us back to that generation that lived through the post-World War II economic boom. The people who witnessed the moon landing\, a pivotal moment which set the country on the road to modernization.\nHowever\, nowadays they no longer represent the present in which we live.\nThese iron and concrete giants become the unwitting “shelters” where new generations furtively express their thoughts and feelings\, anxieties and fears. \nAn abandoned yet still existing past combines with modernity and allows for other manifestations to revive through the lively expression of nature and contemporary street art.\nAndrea Savazzi succeeds in bringing together all these elements of equal value and authority with great skill. Savazzi manages to bring them back to the canvas\, showing evident artistic maturity.\nThe image\, in his earlier works deliberately blurred\, is now powerful and metaphysical.\nMoisture stains on a wall\, a face or a symbol\, small alterations that never disturb the composition and urge the viewer to identify the ultimate and absolute essence of reality beyond its relative determinations.\nSavazzi’s canvases become a melting point of two very different moments and eras.\nOne is about to run out and the other to take over.\nThey live and coexist in the present and have become complementary.\nBeauty and harmony arise precisely from this perfect and spontaneous balance.\nA balance of contrasts\, destined to change and evolve. \nVirtual Tour\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:Ceci n’est pas Pop Art
DESCRIPTION:From American Pop Art to European Pop Art: it often happens to juxtapose artists and images with this current.\n\nBut what is Pop Art\, what concepts does it encompass? What can be considered Pop and what cannot?\n\nThe late 1950s and early 1960s saw the birth of Pop Art\, a movement that was an expression of consumer society and mass communication.\n\nAccording to some\, Pop Art-popular art-must be reproducible and therefore for everyone\, it must represent the new reality.\n\n\nAccording to others\, Pop Art is a denunciation of the existential angst of chaotic emptiness disguised in bright\, eye-catching colors.\n\nThrough a narration led by speaker Armando Battelli\, we will try to discover together this movement\, its origins and evolutions!\nWatch the video\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Genova 60
DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the exhibition “Genova 60\,” which will open from April 14 to July 31\, 2022 at the Palazzo Reale in Genoa’s Falcone Theater\, Galleria Studio Rossetti is hosting a meeting with curator Luca Leoncini\, organized and introduced by Enrica Perilio.\n\nThe event will be held on Thursday\, June 9\, at 6 p.m. in the atrium of Palazzo Saluzzo\, Piazza dei Giustiniani.\n\nThe aim of this grandiose fresco-exhibition is to tell the story of the great transformations of Genoa in the 1960s\, a decade of profound changes due to the burst of new ideas and renewed cultural stimuli\, significant social changes\, economic innovations and new languages that marked an acceleration in the productions of the visual arts.\n\n\nIn a handful of years old Genoa was transformed\, attracting great professionals from outside but also galvanizing its own cultural resources to turn visions into reality. The exhibition addresses this energy of growth across the board\, as creativity was stimulated in all areas\, from art and design to music\, culture\, and economics.\n\nLearn more about the exhibition at the following link:\nhttps://palazzorealegenova.beniculturali.it/genova-sessanta/\n\n\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:“Thank you for shopping” by Florence Di Benedetto
DESCRIPTION:The artist Florence Di Benedetto\, succeeds in entering an intimate dimension\, where everyday objects become themselves symbols\, domestic icons\, within the reach of all. \nIn this exhibition\, “Thank you for shopping!” the artpieces represent “Things” that acquire a real personalization: they are able to speak to the consumer and put them before the overabundance of products and the ease with which our society\, up until now\, is accustomed quickly acquire them. \nThe supermarket\, then\, is a place symbolic of pop culture\, where everything is available in infinite quantity and variety. But also a sacred place\, a secular temple\, a repository of hopes and desires. \n\n\n\n\nConsumerism as a modern religion. Just as believers of all faiths trust rituals and prayers to show them the way\, we too\, today more than ever\, look to objects for the fulfillment of our destiny\, the meaning of what we do\, and who we are.\nIn a time in which precariousness and solitude abound\, we tend to surround ourselves with things that we imbue with broader and deeper meanings\, with the aim of finding consolation\, a form of reassurance. \nThe aesthetic beauty of the works on display makes the immersive experience enjoyable and fun. The viewer becomes an active part of the process\, gets involved and leaves satisfied. \n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:The divine mechanics
DESCRIPTION:A conversation between Davide Puma and Dr. Sara Taglialagamba  \nIn Davide Puma’s artistic journey\, it is customary for science and poetry to merge into a single overall vision\, creating a powerful and entirely personal language. Their divine resonance transforms visions into images\, creating a cosmogony of energy\, elements\, matter\, and atoms that\, colliding with each other\, catapult the viewer into an ideal world entirely dominated by nature populated by metamorphic animals under the protection of primal goddesses. \nThis is the theme of the exhibition: in line with a philosophical thought rooted in antiquity\, Puma proposes the idea of a universe understood as a living organism in continuous becoming and the result of mechanical iteration between elementary particles. It is precisely through reflection on the theme of movement\, change\, and the incessant transformation of nature that the artist succeeds in shaping his personal intuition of the world and contributing to the unceasing learning of that “mechanics  of the universe\,” which is the basis of all his paintings. This divine eurythmy manages to materialize in his gardens\, which become ideal and idealized places of creation\, stripping themselves of their figurative meaning but dressing themselves in the role of archetype. In Puma’s mind\, his gardens are the place where the matrix symbols of the universe are manifested: they are the places inhabited by his creatures that take on continuous metamorphoses\, charging themselves with hidden meanings and allegories; they are the places of revelation of his thought under the unchallenged dominion of Queen Mothers of nature and all the elements.\nSara Tagalialagamba \nAn Art Historian\, PhD and Post PhD (Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes\, Sorbonne\, Paris)\, she has been a historical collaborator of Professor Carlo Pedretti\, the world’s foremost Leonardo da Vinci scholar and holder of the Chair of Leonardo Studies at UCLA Los Angeles. She has taught at prestigious institutes in Italy and abroad\, publishing monographs and articles and receiving awards of the highest caliber. His favorite fields of study are static and dynamic mechanics\, automations\, robotics\, engineering\, hydraulic and pneumatic contrivances\, fountains\, and horology. His first book\, “Automations and Robotics of Leonardo da Vinci\,” published in 2010\, received an honorable mention from Scientific American magazine in an article on some automata built at Nasa. In addition to being involved with numerous international conferences and on the scientific committee of important exhibitions in the year of celebrations for the five hundredth anniversary of the death of Leonardo\, she has the book Leonardo Industrial Designer coming out where she studies a new theme marked by the combination of beauty and utility. She was invited as a TED SPEAKER in Bergamo. Already a visiting professor at the Robotics department of UNAM in Mexico City and at UCLA (Los Angeles\, USA) and a scholarship holder at the Museo Galileo in Florence\, he is currently director of the Nuova Fondazione Rossana e Carlo Pedretti and is an associate professor at the Department of Philosophy and History of Science at the University of Urbino. He loves contemporary art and is responsible for organizing events\, exhibitions and meetings at prestigious historical\, public and private institutions. \nWatch video\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The artist Davide Puma\, originally from Liguria and fond of the colors\, scents and lights of this land\, after having exhibited his paintings internationally\, returns to his origins and with his arrival in Genoa\, spring blooms.\nThe artworks created for the exhibition “Altro non posso fare che germogliare e fiorire” (I can’t do anything else but sprout and blossom) are hypnotizing and seem to whisper sweetly to us to immerse ourselves in them\, in order to find and amaze ourselves in front of natural spectacles\, in a cradling and flourishing nature. \nFor the occasion\, the gallery has commissioned the communication agency Siks Adv to create a new video that will be projected for the entire duration of the exhibition in one of the rooms of Studio Rossetti Underground\, to guide the viewer in the interpretation of the personality and artistic vision of Davide Puma.\nDavide Puma’s marvelous gardens open like doors to fantastic worlds and become portals to a comforting peace.\nThe guiding force behind Davide Puma’s exhibition is\, in fact\, nature\, with which he has an intimate and deep-rooted relationship. It contains\, in all its vital forms\, in its language and in its components\, what for the artist represents the meaning of the universe. Puma’s artistic imagery describes nature transcending its physical dimension\, the atmospheres it suggests oscillate between the fairy-tale and the dreamlike.\nThe delicacy and lightness that run through Davide Puma’s canvases lead to a reflection on nature and on the superior laws that determine it and allow each element that is part of it to move and change.\nThe importance that Puma attributes to color\, to the expression of nature and to light determined the choice that the artist made to move to paint in the Ligurian town of Bordighera. A place particularly linked to art\, with bright energies and brilliant details. Even Monet\, traveling with Renoir\, was enchanted by this place for its lights and its pink and blue colors\, which are the same in which Davide Puma dips his brushes.\n\n\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:Synthèse visuelle. Scomporre in frame l’attimo. Il diario di una ricerca
DESCRIPTION:In occasione della mostra Monet. Capolavori dal Musée Marmottan Monet di Parigi\, a Palazzo Ducale a Genova\, la Galleria Studio Rossetti presenta il volume Monica Gorini. Synthèse visuelle. Scomporre in frame l’attimo.

SUMMARY:“L'arte di legare le persone” by Paolo Milone – Einaudi Publisher
DESCRIPTION:“L’arte di legare le persone” (Einaudi Publisher) is a book that one struggles to define and any definition remains incomplete. \nHow often we speak of doctors as heroes\, martyrs\, victims–in truth\, outside of rhetoric\, men and women exposed to evil. Passionate and fragile\, fallible\, mortal. Paolo Milone has worked for forty years in emergency psychiatry\, and he tells us exactly that. Naked and biting\, without discounting himself. With a music all his own\, he catapults us inside Ward 77\, where the mystery of mental illness coexists with the very human everydayness of those who\, at the end of their shift\, must take off their scrubs and remember to buy milk.\nOne year after its release\, Wednesday\, March 2 at 6 p.m\, The Meltin Pop blog and Rossetti Arte Contemporanea gallery are organizing a meeting with author Paolo Milone\, who will dialogue with his readers\, accompanied by writer and psychotherapist Bruno Morchio.\nReadings by Lucia Caponetto. The meeting will take place at Rossetti Arte Contemporanea\nat Via Chiabrera 33r Genoa. \nPoster\n\n\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:“Verdad Muda” by Evita Andújar
DESCRIPTION:Studio Rossetti Gallery welcomes the winter exhibition season with the opening of “Verdad Muda\,” the solo exhibition of Andalusian artist Evita Andújar\, curated by Raffaella Salato. The exhibition will open to the public on Thursday\, November 25\, and will be on view until January 9\, 2022. \n“A continuous narration that proceeds by snapshots\, a story made of still images (or\, as we say today\, of “screenshots”) that are assembled in a complex puzzle\, varied and constantly evolving: this is the feminine universe of Evita Andújar\, the undisputed protagonist of the poetics of the Andalusian artist\, who always works in the balance – but with skillful mastery of intention and gesture – on the ridge that runs between figuration and abstraction. \nThe exhibition entitled ‘Verdad muda’ collects a series of paintings from the cycle ‘Stolen Selfie’\, inspired by the paradox of our hyper-technological society\, overexposed to a continuous flow of images and information that\, however\, often lack real content. The identities that social networks obsessively send back to us are only pale simulacra of a reality that few\, by now\, bother to penetrate and know: so Andújar distorts and erases these surface individualities with the declared aim of provoking an alternative reflection\, of shifting the focus from appearance to substance. \nEvita’s women\, as she herself has often explained\, are at the same time her alter-ego and archetypes of contemporary femininity\, enclosing in themselves on the one hand the reflection of the artist’s multiple nuances\, and on the other hand paradigmatic images of today’s woman\, immersed in a complex\, restless\, buzzing reality\, which forces her to be – to paraphrase Pirandello – “one\, none and a hundred thousand”\, in a perpetual dialectic with the mutability of human relationships and the fleeting nature of existence. \nThis sense of elusiveness and temporariness\, from which none of us is immune\, is translated on Evita’s canvases\, evidently transfiguring the protagonist\, she\, the woman: although undeniably the center of the scene\, as happens in the tradition of the portrait\, the female figure loses its identity\, which often liquefies in the domination of the pictorial matter on the image (as in ‘Stolen Selfie 69 or Brezza’)\, sometimes she deliberately hides or subtracts herself (for example\, in ‘Stolen Selfie 45 or Hide what you are not’)\, other times\, finally\, she doubles in partial reflections of herself that never give back a definite identikit (‘Stolen Selfie 56 or In the white of tomorrow’).\nThe final result\, in the eyes of the observer\, is that of a suspended tale\, crystallized in a fragment of the present that gives no answers\, in which the solitude of the woman – in Andújar’s paintings there are never any characters in the background – becomes a symbol and personification of the estrangement of today’s world. In this sense\, it is almost natural to draw a parallel with the women of Edward Hopper\, master of American Realism of the 20th century: it is as if Evita’s canvases\, which have an almost cinematographic flavor\, like frames of a film shot indoors\, were narrating our personal crisis\, our intrinsic solitude. Observing her paintings has an almost cathartic effect: it is like looking at ourselves reflected in a mirror that shows us as we are\, offering us an opportunity to better understand our existential condition. \nAnd yet\, in the artist’s canvases there is always an element of hope\, a tension between physical space\, time and emotions\, a spark that leads us to question ourselves on the “what” and the “why”: the accuracy of the rendering of certain details in the setting (representing mostly bourgeois domestic environments)\, the never casual use of light and color (the intense blues\, the bright reds\, the flashing whites)\, the poses or gestures of the figures that never appear passively static but rather traversed by a composed and controlled subterranean restlessness\, suggest to us a story that has yet to be written\, an “other” key to interpretation that emerges through the different interpretive levels of the work\, a verdad muda that presses inexorably for a voice. ” \nRaffaella Salato\n\n\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n

SUMMARY:“Noncestoria” by Gianni Ansaldi
DESCRIPTION:Photographer Gianni Ansaldi\, in his first narrative work\, composes a novel with experimental features in which a tight sequence of prologues and epilogues alternates instead of traditional chapters.\nThe time is that of a dream\, spiraling: past and present intertwine and blur. The two characters who animate the story are destined for a fateful encounter.\nOne lives in many pasts made unreal by memory\, the other in a present made unreal by drug chemistry. When they both arrive in a real present for one of them it is the end.\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Big in Japan

SUMMARY:“Hinomaru” by Tom Porta
DESCRIPTION:In the exhibition “Hinomaru”\, the artist presents us 20 unpublished works created specifically to take the viewer back to Japan of the ‘900. \nThe subjects painted by Tom Porta bring back a past made of tradition and rituals that doesn’t want to tell the Story but gives prominence to the aesthetics that belongs to Japanese culture. \nThe Geishas move away from the collective imagination to become wearers of refined kimonos. \nEthereal women who seem to come out of an old photo\, whose worn edges cannot swallow them.\nWe become spectators of a suspended world that narrates about values and codes. The same as those embodied by the pilots\, represented and believed by the artist in Hinomaru.\nEvanescent figures whose proud eyes do not even touch us. In the foreground is the face. The uniform\, almost unfinished\, doesn’t matter: they are first men and then soldiers.\nThe planes and the ships seem to come out of the fog. As if they were visions that take shape heading towards the West.\nHinomaru is the solar disk on the Japanese flag. A symbol already used on the flags of the samurai\, the Rising Sun.

SUMMARY:“Chromestesia” by Gianluca Patti
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition season of Galleria Studio Rossetti continues with the exhibition entitled “Chromesthesia” by artist Gianluca Patti\, for the first time in a solo show in Genoa. \nThe exhibition will be inaugurated on June 17 in conjunction with the opening of the Genova Design Week\, an event that will have as its fulcrum Piazza dei Giustiniani\, where the gallery is located. \nGianluca Patti\, eclectic and sensitive artist\, has the innate ability to create a synergistic link between matter and color\, able to involve the viewer within his works. His practical knowledge of building elements and his ability to create balanced and intense colors leads him to create material\, visual and sound compositions of great impact. \nIn the exhibition Patti stages the cycle of the seasons and interprets\, in an artistic and personal way\, the Symphonies of Vivaldi’s 4 Seasons. The twenty works in the exhibition lend themselves not only to being observed but also to being listened to and seem to release musical notes provoking powerful visual and auditory sensations and perceptions.\nStudio Rossetti for this occasion\, sets up the rooms of the Underground space through an exhibition path that allows you to grasp the close link between music and art that leads the viewer to perceive the changes of the seasons and the feelings that distinguish them.\nThe exhibition wants to be an immersive experience\, allowing the deepest emotions to emerge and the observer to plunge into an abyss of colors making a journey into the unconscious and memory. \nThe works of Gianluca Patti have a dreamlike dimension\, they are endowed with an intrinsic meaning\, interpretable and unique depending on who observes them\, taking on individual values and able to address each of us\, with our personal stories\, our desires and our sensitivity.

SUMMARY:“Deep Down” by Silvio Porzionato
DESCRIPTION:Studio Rossetti Gallery hosts\, for the first time in Genoa\, Silvio Porzionato\, an artist discreet in personality but with a powerful echo that travels all over the world.\nOf international breath and fame\, after having participated in the most famous and influential exhibitions\, and after having held exhibitions in the most avant-garde cities and capitals\, he arrives in the Ligurian capital. \nIn the exhibition “deep down”\, Porzionato presents unpublished paintings specially designed and for this special occasion the Studio Rossetti inaugurates the new space “I Sotterranei della Galleria”\, located underneath the Gallery\, with the intent to give us back a beauty until now hidden.\nThe ancient vestiges\, brought to light respecting the designs and elegant architecture of origin\, are now reborn to new life: remote charm and mystery are mixed perfectly by preserving the roots and secrets of the historic Palazzo Saluzzo above.\nEverything here speaks to us of a past that was memorable and that leaves the baton to Studio Rossetti in a harmonious dialogue between what has been and what will be.\nWhen we face the descent we have time to prepare ourselves emotionally\, as before a deep dive\, to immerse ourselves in the silent\, intimate and magical atmosphere of the rooms that host the exhibition. \nSilvio Porzionato wanted to dress the walls with “clothes” made to measure and suitable for such a jewel. Capitals\, cross vaults\, arches and pillars create crossroads and masterful paths and lead us towards his works which are endowed with an instinctive magnetic force and radiate the surrounding darkness. \nOf an “ancient” romanticism\, the scenic spectacle\, which opens in front of our eyes\, is a curtain that reveals faces that tell intriguing stories\, whisper us their emotions and trigger others\, intense\, within us.\nThe characters described by the artist remind us of the majesty of Greek comedies\, the personality of Aristophanes’ actors\, in the colors and energy of the shapes and poses.\nPainted with soft but vigorous brushstrokes like the beating of butterfly wings\, they delicately rest on the canvas and fly into the environment until they envelop us.\nThe vibrant colors determine the charge of the figures\, they are ironic but dramatic at the same time.\nThe end result is a shock to our visual perception and our soul. \nAlthough intimate\, in the dimension of the portrait\, the subjects are represented with spontaneity\, in fleeting poses\, but they are able to generate such an empathy between us and them that we think we have already met them.\nThey tell us about their lives that seem to intertwine with ours.\nThey leave us with the desire to listen to the story of their lives and their experiences. \nAlthough Porzionato’s seems to be “realism”\, given by his ability to render details and paint with skill and mastery\, his creative gesture starts from the representation of people and then loses the physical and anthropocentric dimension and touches metaphysical worlds.\nThe colors and shapes are not only objective\, but expressive tools that have the intent to address us of the warnings\, messages: we do not remain stationary and static in front of reality\, but we travel and space by being transported into another dimension\, emotional and spiritual\, in a dance with eyes closed.\nPorzionato’s paintings are to be looked at in the silence of the soul to get into their world\, which seems to be dancing\, and to perceive the symphonic notes that emerge from the canvases: an infinitely sweet eurythmy subdues and leaves a persistent memory\, even after the visit.\nA memory that\, instead of fading\, becomes intrusive with a symphony of sensations.\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Questo lo so fare anch’io! Vera arte\, provocazione\, gioco?
