“Antropia: la luce che resta” by Andrea Savazzi
10 October 2019 @ 20:00 - 10 November 2019 @ 20:00
Studio Rossetti Gallery begins its fall exhibition season with “ANTROPIA _ la luce che resta” the solo exhibition of Andrea Savazzi with inauguration on Thursday, October 10 from 18:00 at the headquarters of Via Chiabrera 33r, in Genoa.
The exhibition will be open to the public until Sunday, November 10, 2019 and consists of more than fifteen works of the new artistic cycle of the artist in which the most significant themes of a contemporaneity daughter of past generations are represented. The protagonists of the exhibition belong to the industrial age, iron and concrete giants that now lie motionless, empty and silent. Environments emblematic of human action, cumbersome and decadent traces of an illusion defined as progress. By making them the subjects of his works, Andrea Savazzi intends to give them another chance, a new purpose in life. Despite the lack of presences, the canvases exude an intense humanity with the power to exorcise the melancholy of abandonment in the rediscovery of a space that becomes intimate and known. |
The imprints of the past amplify the value of these places, a value that is returned, by the artist, through an image deliberately blurred to allow the interpretation.
The haziness of the forms allows the observer to recompose the complete image himself: a focus open to the imagination and closed to censorship. From the industrial world of Andrea Savazzi the intimate essence of man’s life shines through: A space evoking feelings, where light becomes the junction point between past and present, satisfaction and disappointment, reality and appearance. Here comes the exhortation to openness, imagination and acceptance. The truth in its complexity explodes in an entropy that becomes positive, always emanating new information and communicating new light. |
