Presenze Invisibili. Encounter between Art and Architecture – Exhibition by Andrea Savazzi and Gianni Lucchesi
7 March 2024 @ 18:00 - 7 April 2024 @ 18:00

With different interpretations and techniques, artists Andrea Savazzi and Gianni Lucchesi investigate the attitude of man and his “being” in the world. In Savazzi’s works, the human figure never appears but is always the protagonist. The artist transposes on canvas imposing structures that have been built, lived and, finally, abandoned. Spaces where nature reclaims what belongs to it, silent places that talk about the cycle of life, witnesses to the passage of women, men and thousands of stories. On the contrary, in Gianni Lucchesi’s works, the human figure appears as a starting point to trigger a reflection between man and his inner complexities. |
On his canvases, herds of deer contrast with disorderly crowds of people, showing us a different relationship between their fellow humans and the environment around us. His minimal and rigorous sculptures, on the other hand, report small human figures who, seated or poised, observe the underlying raw materials representing their interiority and which, therefore, are deliberately larger in size and disproportionate to them. The parallel investigation of the two artists addresses equal themes with very different eyes, inviting us to believe in our perceptions so as not to remain blind to what we do not see, to notice the silent presences that surround us, or possess us, in our daily lives. |
