Evita Andújar - Rossetti Arte Contemporanea
Evita Andújar, was born in Écija (Seville), Spain, in 1974. After studying fine art and restoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Seville, she attended several specialisation courses; including the International Course of Painting in Cadiz, managed by the Spanish painter Antonio López García. After finishing her Phd in 2000, she was awarded a scholarship at the Academy of Spain in Rome and there she began working in art restoration. In the following years, she became the reference point for important projects; including the Vignola’s Scala Regia in Caprarola. The close contact with frescoes was fundamental for the development of her pictorial technique. She participated in several exhibitions across Italy, Spain, England, France, Slovenia, Austria, UAE and Jordan, exhibiting with great contemporary artists and young emerging talents.

She won numerous awards; the “A mosaic” award for Tornareccio, the Premio Adrenalina, the Casciaro Prize, the Arteam Cup Prize and the Lynx Prize. She was a finalist at the “Premio Arte Laguna”, the “Premio Enegan Art” and the “Premio Arte Mondadori”, and was also awarded the Combat Award by the jury.
Among others, we highlight the personal exhibitions at the House of Rigoletto in Mantua, the Museum P. Cavoti by Galatina, the Museum Histórico Municipal de Écija (Spain) and the group exhibitions at the Palazzo Reale, the Museum della Permanente di Milano, the Arsenale di Venezia, the Galleria Regionale di Palazzo Bellomo in Syracuse, the Civic Museum of Palazzo della Penna in Perugia, the Museums of San Salvatore in Lauro and the Chamber of Deputies in Rome.

In 2016, she was chosen as the artist-in-residence at the Bocs Art Project (Cosenza, IT) and in 2017 she won the artist’s residency award at the Premio Marchionni (Sardinia, IT). In 2018, she was invited to participate in the Performance Art Will Never Die by Fabio Sargentini at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome. In the same year she was asked to join the Ayla residence International Art Symposium III in Aqaba (Jordan) and in 2019, the Cab International Art Symposium 5 in Amman (Jordan).

Her work can be found in important collections; such as in the Fondazione Rome, the Bilotti Collection, the Benetton Foundation Collection, the SAC,S Agostino Museum Contemporary in Ortigia and in the Cairo Amman Bank.
Since 2000, she used to live and work in Rome.
